La Mon Hotel & Country Club offers the complete wedding destination, in which you and your guests can relax after a day of wedding celebrations. With 120 luxury bedrooms, set in picturesque gardens, guests can also enjoy the relaxing Country Club. Complete with 15m Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Sauna, Tennis Court and two gymnasiums, it’s the ideal place to unwind. The wedding party and your guests can also be pampered, by booking a treatment at Odessi Health & Beauty or La Mon Hair Studio.

The newly married couple can relax in style and spacious surroundings, enjoying beautiful views of County Down and celebrating in the luxurious Bridal Suite, with La Mon bubbly on ice. For the convenience of the bridal party, 10 bedrooms will be allocated to your wedding, with a preferential accommodation rate. These rates include a full buffet breakfast and use of La Mon Country Club.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the hotel provisionally hold a date for couples?

Your preferred date will be provisionally held for 14 days with no obligation to confirm. Once the 14 day period has ended, you may secure the date by paying a £1000 deposit, or we will release the date in our diary. You may be contacted within the 14 day period if there is demand from other couples for your date, but it will not be given to anyone else within the 14 day period.

Do wedding package prices change depending on Suites / seasonally?

No- All our package prices are fixed. However, they will increase on a yearly basis.

Is room hire included in your wedding packages?

Yes, all our packages within our Wedding Brochure include room hire.

Are there minimum number requirements for booking a wedding?

There is no minimum number requirement however, our Wedding Banqueting Suites do have minimum numbers for your comfort.

We have paid the deposit and held our date with the hotel. When do we need to pay the remaining balance?

The deposit of £1000 confirms and holds your date. 50% of your total is due 12 weeks prior to your wedding date. Full & Final Payment is due 10 days in advance of the wedding date. You may pay off as much or as little as you like in the intervening period at any time.

When do we have to give final numbers of attendees?

Final numbers are required with a copy of your table plan at your 10 day detail appointment.

When do we meet to discuss menu choices, set-up etc?

One of our wedding co-ordinators will be in touch 12 weeks prior to your special day, to organise a meeting where we will discuss and confirm all final details.

How many bedrooms are in the hotel?

We have 120 bedrooms. There are 4 grades of room available to guests - Standard rooms, Premier Rooms, and Deluxe Rooms Deluxe & Executive Suites (Bridal Suites) & Grande Suites. Rates vary between grades. Guests must book direct by phone to avail of wedding rates (not offered online).

Do I get any bedrooms at a reduced rate for my wedding?

We will reserve 10 premier rooms at a reduced rate for your guests as part of your wedding package. These rooms will require a passcode to book which can be given to you by your wedding co-ordinator. Guests must book these directly by telephone with our reservations team and cannot be booked online. If there are remaining rooms from your allocation of 10, they will be released for resale 4 weeks prior to your wedding. If all 10 rooms have been filled, and given we have the availability, we may be able to offer an additional allocation of rooms to your wedding package if requested. Any rooms sold are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Can we use outside suppliers for food and/or drink?

No. All food and beverages must be purchased and consumed on-site (excluding sweets for sweet cart, see below). Patrons are prohibited from consuming alcohol other than alcohol supplied by La Mon. This will be rigorously enforced and we reserve the right to stop the wedding/close the bars if this condition is not strictly adhered to.

Can we use outside suppliers for non-food/drink items such as centrepieces, flowers, decorations, chairs etc.?

Yes. All suppliers must provide their public liability insurance for equipment and/or supplies brought into the hotel, including bands, DJs, singers, etc.

Can we organise to have Chinese Lanterns or Fireworks?

Chinese Lanterns are not prohibited. Fireworks can be organised directly via the hotel.

When can my cake be delivered?

We cannot store wedding cakes overnight. The cake must be delivered on the day of your wedding.

Is car parking available onsite?

Yes, we have 300 car parking spaces available on site and complimentary for all guests.

How many people per table?

We have 6ft round tables that can accommodate comfortably 8-10 guests per table. We will discuss layouts with you closer to the time of your wedding.

How long does the meal take to serve?

On average, excluding speeches, the meal takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish.

Do we have to leave the banqueting room after the meal for the dancefloor to be set up?

We ask that guests return to the foyer while we prepare the room for dancing. That means clearing and moving tables, while the DJ sets up where your top table is positioned. It can take up to 1 hour to change a room around.
